Using My Canon 30D with Sigma Lens 18-50mm, amazing photos

Well as you all can tell, I went on a trip to Calgary.  I visited a friend who set me up with this Blog.  Blogger, so easy to use I would recomend it to anyone.  I would like to share some of my pics that I took with my Canon 30D with the Sigma 18-50mm Lens.  Some of these photographs were taken through a dirty windshield, and they turned out incredibe. Please understand that my photographs are copyright, and if you would like to use them, please leave a comment and ask me for permission.  I do have all the photo's in Larger resolution and if anyone would like that format I might be willing to send it to you, as long as I have your contact info.  My services are for hire as well.  If you would like some photo's of a specific subject, please leave your contact info.  I will do my best to look at all the comments as fast as I can.

If you think that the resolution and the pics are really good,  just in the 800x600, then I think that you would be amazed when looking at them in the full size.  Canon has a incredible product with the 30D.

On my way to Calgary, I wondered what the heck were these tunnels that I had to drive through.  There were quite a number of these along the way.

Wild life Bridge

It turns out these tunnels, are actually... Bridges, for the wildlife to cross the highway. Any Deer, Elk, Bear, or other species, have the ability to cross the highway unimpeded, safe from a vehicle travelling way to fast, and becoming roadkill.  (I guess that it is safer for the Drivers as well!)

Stay tuned for more!!

Digital Photo's, Pictures, Driving from Calgary to Vancouver Island, Old Dog Pub Salmon Arm, Seniors Care residence

I had my visit in Calgary, with my friends, and then I had to drive back to Victoria.  On the way home I decided to stay at the "Old Dog Inn" in Salmon Arm.

It was a Friday night, so I thought that I would check out the town and see what was happening.  The Old Dog was the first pub that I arrived at, and it had a Seniors Residence beside it that rented rooms for the night.  Let me tell you that the pub was the busiest place that I found that night.  So I thought that I would stay.

This was the first time that I have ever stayed in a Old Folks Home.  I think that it is a little early for me, but I am getting on in age.  The room was warm, clean, and comfortable.  Eighty five bucks... all in.

At the Pub, I played pool and had a absolutely great time.  I pretty much ran the table all night, and I think that I would not have lost that one game, had there not been so many pretty ladies walking around.  My God, what a selection of beautiful women in Salmon Arm.  Who would have thought!  I will definitely have to go back and explore some more!!

When I checked out in the morning, I got a view of the rest of the place, and it looked great!  Very friendly staff.

If I ever have to go into residential care, I think that I might like to go to Salmon Arm.

Winter Road Conditions in Calgary Canada

Just went on a trip to Calgary.  The wind was howling and the snow was blowing.  Nice sunny day and the road, at times, could not be seen because of the wind blown snow.

Spring in British Columbia

I really don't think that there is a better statement of Spring, then when the Cherry Blossoms come out.  The colours are incredible.

It's Here....

The one thing that really gets frustrating..... is walking down the road once all the cherries have fallen..

To me, Vancouver Island is home, and I think that one could call it ..... Paradise!! It definitely has a little of everything and I would hope that one could see it all in person.  If not, maybe catch some of that Paradise here by viewing my photo's... please enjoy the viewing....
